What color is it? Is it big or small? Encourage pupils to respond in
a sentence: It is big. It is black, etc.
- Ask pupils to come to the front of the class and describe an animal. They
may use any words, adjectives or descriptions of the body that they like.
The class asks: Is it a/an (name of an animal)?
The pupil says: Yes, it is or No, it isn't.
If the pupil is stuck or the class has trouble guessing, tell the pupil to act out
a movement that will remind the class of the animal (a real life movement
or something from the story "From Head to Toe").

words they already know.
- Say: lion. The lion is big and strong. Roar! Make gestures for big and
strong.
- Tell pupils: Everybody repeat after me: The lion is big and strong.
Roar! Use gestures. Have pupils repeat the sentence.
- Say: Seal. While sitting, clap your hands and feet together like a seal.
- Motion for pupils to repeat all the words together with you. Point to each
