- Draw the house and write the letters Xx in the house.
- As you write the letters, talk about what you are doing. Show pupils how
the big X and the small x have the same shape but a different size.
- Now have pupils write the letter X with a finger, in the air and on their
desks.
- Ask two pupils to lie on the floor and form the letter X with their bodies.
- Repeat this with several pairs of pupils.
