LESSON PROCEDURE
I. Introductions and Greetings
Song

"Good Morning School" (song #2.1)
- Do the special greeting with gestures.
- Have Max ask pupils different questions: What is your name? How are
you today? How do you feel? What color is your hair? What color are
your eyes? What is your telephone number? Have pupils respond and
shake Max's hand.

"Days of the Week" (song #1.34)
- Max says: Today is ____ . What day was yesterday? What day is
tomorrow? Pupils respond.
II. English Adventure Map

Tell pupils: I am happy because we have arrived at another stop on our
map - The Animal Stop. Point to the stop on the map.
Ask pupils: What did we learn on the way to this stop? Review topics,
books, vocabulary, etc.
- Ask them: Which animals' names do you know in English?

Tell pupils: Max is here. Let's show Max all the letters we have learned
in this unit.

- Point to previously learned letters. Pupils stand up when they hear the first
letter of their name.
Game

Trivia Competition (game #27)
- Draw 6 columns on the board.
- Number the columns 1-6.
- Put a picture or flashcard that represents the topic learned on the top of the
column: classroom objects, farm animals, zoo animals, numbers 1-20,
colors, parts of the face, part of the body (see below).
- On the left side of the board write Groups 1, 2, 3, 4 or Boys/Girls,
depending on who is competing.
