Elicit the words: cheap, flour, garlic, half-price, list, orange, pay, price, salt, sauce, sell, sugar,
supermarket.

Ask pupils what these words have in common. Elicit: supermarket, food, etc.
Ask pupils: What can people buy at the supermarket? (Elicit: new vocabulary words, any types of foods,
other things that supermarkets sell. Accept any logical answer.)
