Zoya: To make Breakfast Bread, have all your ingredients ready. You need:
8 thin or thick slices of bread
butter
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
sugar and salt
Here is how to prepare the breakfast bread
1. Cut your bread slowly into thin or thick slices. Remember to be careful when you
use a knife.
2. Mix the eggs, milk, sugar, and salt together in a bowl.
3. Put a pan on the stove. Put the butter in the pan. You also need to be careful when
you use a hot stove!
4. Put the slices of bread into the bowl.
5. Cook the bread in the pan. The bread needs to cook on both sides.

After listening, ask pupils what the recipe is for (Elicit: breakfast bread).
•
Ask pupils if they (or someone else in their family) make breakfast bread at home.
•
Ask pupils – if they have not had breakfast bread before, do they want to try it?

Have pupils match each blue word to its opposite white word. Have pupils write each pair of opposites in
their notebooks.

Then, elicit other pairs of opposites that the pupils know.

Ask pupils how the sentences are similar to or different from the way they are said in English.
Ask pupils to look at the sentences in the Course Book.
