Listening Script Unit 3 Page 117 #3
Dan: My name is Dan. I am a teacher, and I work in the library. Many students from Hillside go to the
library to study and do their homework.
Here are some students from grade 3. They are all studying.
Hi, what are you studying?
3rd Grade Student: We are studying the alphabet for an English exam. We think we can pass the exam.
Dan: I think so too!
I am going to talk to students from grade 6 now.
Hi, what are you doing?
6th Grade Student: We are writing a song for our music class. A lot of people think you always need to be
quiet in the library. But we can work together and talk. We sometimes start to sing!
Dan: You can talk and sing, but please don’t be too loud.
This is the art corner. Amy, the art teacher is hanging her students’ paintings on the wall.
Hi Amy. Can I help you choose which paintings to hang?
Amy: Hi Dan. Yes, you can help. It’s hard to choose. All of these paintings are pretty and interesting. But I
can only hang four of them.
Dan: It’s not easy to choose. But I am happy that everyone who visits the library can see beautiful art.
The library also has new computers. Grade four students are reading information on the internet.
Hi, what are you reading about?
4th Grade Student: I am reading about farms for a science project. I am learning a lot about how farmers
grow different types of vegetables.
Dan: That is great! Now, I am hungry. Let’s go and eat. It is lunchtime.
Jade: Wait! I am still here studying for the big English exam.
