Ask: What day is it today? (Elicit the full date and write it on the board: Today is (Sunday), (February 21).
Have pupils copy the date into their notebooks.

Ask: What did we talk about in the first two parts of this unit? (Elicit: school, homework, exams,
etc.)
Say: Now we are going to talk about something else that we have at school: student council (use
L1).
Go around the room and ask different pupils:
Do you like to study for exams with a friend? (Elicit: Yes, I do. / No, I do not.)
Encourage more challenged pupils’ participation by allowing them to respond using gestures.
Where do you like to do your homework? (Elicit any logical response, e.g., at home, in my room,
etc.)
