After listening, have pupils complete the sentences according to the advertisement using the words from
the word bank.

Have pupils complete the tasks. Review the instructions for each task before allowing pupils to work on
their own or with a partner/small group.

When pupils are finished, check answers.

Before teaching the grammar form, ask pupils to look at the sentences in the Course Book.

Ask pupils to identify the nouns in the sentences. (Elicit: dictionary, notebooks). Use this as an
opportunity to review what a noun is (person, place, or thing).
Ask pupils which of the nouns are singular and which of the nouns are plural.
Tell pupils that they will learn about two types of nouns (Use L1 if needed).
Introduce Count Nouns.
Tell pupils that there are nouns that we can count. Give the examples: two books, ten pages, four
chairs, three teachers. Tell pupils that these are called count nouns.
