Putting It All Together (Performance Task)

Have pupils follow the instructions to complete the performance-based task (PBT). Have pupils assess
their work by completing the performance task checklist on page 278 of the Workbook.

The pupils' work may then be displayed in an English corner in the classroom. Draw pupils' attention to
the board once it is complete and be sure to praise pupils for their work.
Use the Performance Task Rubric in Appendix IV b to assess the pupils' work.

Have pupils complete the unit self-assessment for self-evaluation in the Workbook on page 189.

Show the images on the Unit 3 cover page (page 109). Elicit what pupils remember from the unit,
including themes, vocabulary, texts, stories, etc. Ask pupils:
What did you learn in this unit? What did you like best in this unit?
Class Discussion
•
Ask pupils the following questions. Encourage responses in English and emphasize the target vocabulary
in the pupils' answers. Reassure pupils that there is not one correct answer.
1. What do you think of when you think of school?
2. Would it be good for kids if there was school for only 2 months every year? Why or why not?
