Before reading the text, ask pupils: Do you do science projects in your science lessons?

Before reading, ask pupils to read the title on the bulletin board. (Elicit: Our Science Project).

Ask pupils: What do you think we are going to read about? What type of text is this? (Elicit that it is a
poster about a science project).
Read the text with the pupils. Point out the question at the top of each paragraph. Tell pupils that
the answer to the question is found in the sentences below it.
After reading, ask pupils if they know anyone who would want to grow vegetables inside their house.

Remind pupils of the meaning of the verb to have (has / have) and that it is used to describe possession.
Use L1 if needed.

Remind pupils that the verb to have has two forms – have, has – and that each form pairs with different
pronouns.

Give example sentences for each pronoun and form of to have: I have a guitar. You have a guitar. He
has a guitar., etc.
