After learning about clothing, have pupils give a personal response. Have pupils talk to a partner to ask
and answer the questions.

Encourage pupils to use Visible Thinking by asking them to explain their opinions with reasons and

pupils that the scenario included positive, negative, and question form.

Ask pupils to look at the sentences in the Course Book.

Ask pupils to identify which words in the sentences describe "who." (Elicit the pronouns) Remind
pupils that these words are the subjects of the sentences.
Ask pupils to identify the forms of the to be verb. Review the forms (am, is, are).
Ask pupils to identify which word in the sentences means "no" (Elicit: not)
Tell pupils that they will learn how to say a negative sentence using the to be verb (Use L1 if needed).
Introduce the verb to be (negative).
