Vocab Activity

Do the activity to review and practice the vocabulary (show the word cards): bedroom, closet, jeans,
raincoat, suit, wear, clothes.

Yes or No (VA #7)
Say a true or a false statement about one of the words. For example: I eat jeans for lunch. or There
is a football field in my bedroom. Have pupils say "Yes" or "No" to indicate if the sentence is true or
false.
For false statements, encourage pupils to correct the sentence.
Play a few rounds to practice different words. The teacher may choose a volunteer to lead.

Teach the new vocabulary using the word cards: comfortable, pretty, throw.
Have pupils point to and read each new word their Course Books on pages 46.
Ask pupils: What is something that can be comfortable? (Elicit: clothes, shirt, jeans, a bed, etc.)
What is something that can be pretty? (Elicit: flowers, clothes, a person, etc.) What is something
that you can throw? (Elicit: a ball, a pen, a water bottle, etc.)
