really, shower, soap, tidy, toilet, toothbrush, towel.

Context Clues (VA #22)
Have pupils work in small groups/pairs to choose at least 4 words from the list. They should write
one sentence in English using each word in their notebooks.
When pupils are finished, say the words one by one and ask volunteers to read the sentences they
wrote. If no pupil/group chose a particular word, create a sentence together as a class.

Before reading, have pupils talk with a partner about what they would have a robot do for them.

Before reading, ask pupils about the text type. Elicit that it is an advertisement and point out the
features of the text type (product name, what it does, where you can buy it, etc.).
Have pupils look at the text and make predictions about the type of information in the text based on
the pictures, text type, and title. Determine that this is an advertisement for a robot that cleans your
bathroom.

Read the text together with the pupils.
•
After reading, ask the pupils what Tidy Robots can do.
Ask pupils to give a personal response: Do you want to buy a Tidy Robot?
